Leaving

In August 2012 I did a flit from my home with my boys. We had to leave as my husband was getting more unstable and social services had said if I did not choose my children over my husband I would loose them.

There was no choice, my children always came first. Both children had behavioral problems due to my husbands treatment of them and he thought it was fine to hit the youngest when he felt like it round his head.

We had only the hours my ex husband was at work to pack up what we wanted from the house and move it to the new place I had rented. With the help of Living Without Abuse’s van driver, my parent’s and an excellent friend, we got everything we could, moved.

It was an extremely emotionally hard day, but now I look back I realise that it was the right thing to do to keep us safe and together.

The boys are more settled and most of their behavioral problems have gone. I am hoping as I stop having to go in hospital for treatment that the rest will resolve itself.
